Can ISTA Procedure 1C, compression conditioning, be applied for small package (500 x 300 x 300 mm, weight of 5 kg)

we have small carton-box package(500 x 300 x 300 mm, with weight of 5 kg)that stacked over with 5 packages. The product in this case is bamboo curtain.
The question is acc. to ISTA 1C, the minimum compression load is 135 kg applied on the package, is this reasonable to apply this minimum load? or is this ista 1c applied in this case correct?

Based off of your mention of a 135 kg minimum compression load I will assume we are talking about a weight & load spreader system. In this case the test load calculation for your product would be 135 + 5 + [54 x (.5 + .3)] = 183.2 kg. The calculated value should be rounded up to the nearest whole number which brings the calculated test load to 184 kg. Since your calculated test load is more than the 135 kg minimum test load but less than the 340 kg max test load you would apply the calculated test load of 184 kg.
