Does anyone know good information on correct ways to decrease the testing time for random vibration for ISTA 3H?
I have a transit distance of about 900 miles on steel spring suspension and wanted to decrease the standard vibration testing time. Is there any easy scaling factor?
The vibration profiles in ISTA 3H have already been time compressed to reduce testing time as much as possible while preserving the validity of the testing. For this reason it is recommended that you use the formula presented in ISTA 3H:
Test time duration in minutes = (Transport Miles)\5
900\5= 180 minutes
