From ISTA 2A to 3A for furniture

Hi, We already pass ISTA 2A. What do you recommend to update our furniture packaging to pass ISTA 3A?

There is no one concrete answer to your question in my opinion. It is likely that the packaging for your furniture was not designed to "just pass" ISTA-2A. So, you may not have to change the packaging for it to pass ISTA-3A, but then again you may....

You might want to first evaluate the impacts that your packaging would experience when tested to ISTA-3A and compare them to what the package was exposed to in ISTA-2A to help determine where you may have design concerns. Then testing a variety of package types might be useful to gain even more insight into any inherent packaging deficiencies that may lead to failure during testing of ISTA-3A.

Hope that is helpful.
