How to calculate g level for procedure 1B when the test level 1 in. (25 mm) peak to peak and frequecy, for example

How to calculate g level for procedure 1B when the test level 1 in. (25 mm) peak to peak and frequecy, for example 3 Hz or 180 CPM are given? Thanks

Answers

The formula that relates g, frequency, and displacement for sinusoidal vibration is:

g = 0.0511 x f^ 2 x D

g = zero-to-peak acceleration
f = frequency (in your example 3 Hz)
D = double amplitude displacement in inches (in your example, 1 in.)

So, g = 0.0511 x 9 x 1

g ≈ 0.459
