What's the difference between ISTA 1A and ista 1C test procedure (or between 1B and 1D)

The overview of the two procedure are very similar, even if the 1C/1D procedure are defined as "extended" testing: what typology of package are they best for?

Answers

1C & 1D have a compression conditioning test sequence and also allow for random vibration as an alternative to fixed displacement vibration.
